Fully launched the work of implementing the intellectual property standardization system
Baoji Special Steel Titanium Industry Co., Ltd. held a launch meeting for the implementation of the intellectual property management standard, comprehensively establishing an innovation management system.
To comprehensively strengthen the company's intellectual property management and systematically enhance its capabilities in creating, applying, protecting, and managing intellectual property, to stimulate the vitality of scientific and technological innovation and promote the company's high-quality and sustainable development, Baoding Special Steel Titanium Industry Co., Ltd. officially held the "Enterprise Intellectual Property Management Standards" (GB/T 29490-2013) implementation launch conference on May 19, 2025. Representatives from the company's management team, heads of various functional departments, workshop directors, and technical and R&D backbone employees, totaling over 20 people, participated in this launch meeting.

The launch meeting was chaired by Vice General Manager Luo of the company. The meeting clearly pointed out that this implementation is a key measure for the company to transform and upgrade its intellectual property management from "passive defense" to "active planning and strategic application". As a national high-tech enterprise and a leader in special metallurgical electrode materials, the company currently has an effective patent portfolio with 38% of them being invention patents. Establishing an intellectual property management system that is in line with international standards and conforms to national regulations is of strategic significance for protecting core technological achievements, avoiding operational risks, and enhancing the value of the "Special Steel Titanium Industry" brand.
This meeting specially invited senior intellectual property management system auditors and consulting experts, Mr. Wang Xiangxing, to give a special lecture. Mr. Wang systematically expounded the strategic value of enterprise intellectual property implementation, detailedly introduced the seven key stages of the implementation certification process and the overall time planning, and deeply interpreted the core clause requirements of the "Standards" in terms of basic management, process embedding, and dynamic management. The training focused on how to integrate the standard requirements into the company's actual operations, especially for core departments such as R&D, production, sales, procurement, quality, and finance. Mr. Wang, combining numerous cases, specifically explained how to establish and implement corresponding intellectual property search analysis, risk warning, contract management, and confidentiality systems in each link of project initiation, R&D, procurement, production, sales, and after-sales, to ensure the operability and effectiveness of the system documents.
The convening of this meeting marks that the company's intellectual property implementation work has fully entered the substantive implementation stage. Through systematic training, all participants deeply recognized the supporting and guaranteeing role of intellectual property work for the company's innovation and development. This move not only systematically enhances the company's innovation governance ability and compliance operation level, but also aims to deeply explore the market value of intellectual property, through patent navigation, layout, and operation, to consolidate and enhance the company's core competitiveness in the global high-end metallurgical materials market, and to build a solid intellectual property moat for the company's international strategic layout.
